My Evening With Riley!
Riley came to her senior session with so many thoughtful ideas, each one reflecting a different piece of who she is.
Riley and I met at the Topeka Civic Theatre to highlight her love of theatre and choir—two extracurriculars that have been an important part of her high-school career.
Photographing in a theatre was a new one for me. Riley brought so much confidence, grace, and joy to every image, and made the new challenge quite easy. Didn't she look beautiful?! She absolutely belongs in the spotlight!
A Stroll Downtown
After highlighting Riley's love of theatre and choir, we spent some time exploring downtown and stumbled upon a beautiful spot featuring an array of waterfalls. It was a location I had never photographed at before, but I always enjoy discovering new places and finding fresh ways to create unique images.
Riley chose the perfect dress for this part of her session, and it complemented the setting beautifully. Everything came together so effortlessly, creating a look that felt both elegant and timeless. She has such a great eye for style, and her outfit choice truly elevated these images!
Last, but not least . . .
Riley's special evening ended at the rose garden, where we took a sentimental turn by incorporating a cherished childhood plushie into her photos. It was such a beautiful way to honor her journey and reflect on the memories that have shaped her into the young woman she is today.
We also included another meaningful part of Riley's story: her love of photography. As a photographer myself, this was especially fun to capture! I always enjoy meeting creative young people, and Riley is certainly one of them.
She has an incredible sense of style, a passion for the arts, and a thoughtful eye for detail. I have no doubt that if she chooses to pursue photography, she'll create some beautiful things along the way
